I realize that almost half the summer has already gone by *gasp* and I've only read three books *double gasp.* (The Inheritance Trilogy/Cycle, aka Eragon). On a side note, I really liked Brisingr. Although I do agree with Angela, Brisingr is a rather dull name for a sword. I can't wait for the next one, although it appears I will have to.

Well then, back to business. Since I am off for this week and the next, I figured I should get some more reading in, so I went to Chapters and here is what I have planned.

Lord Loss by Darren Shan
This is the first book in The Demonata series. I've already read The Darren Shan Saga aka Cirque De Freak. It was awesome. I hope this series will be just as good, and how could it not be, it takes place in hell!

The Alchemist - The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott
The first in a trilogy, obviously focused around Nicholas Flamel and immortality. It should be a good read, as it is a New York Times best seller.

Once again part of a series, called A House of Night. I think so far there are five books in the series... I going to be seriously in debt if I continue buying series. These books are about a female vampire who goes to a school for vampires. I know it sounds lame but they look good!

The Host by Stephanie Meyer
Funny that I haven't yet read this book, since I love the Twilight series. Yes, I'm an obsessed Twilight fan and proud. Also while I'm on the topic, I love Robert Pattinson. Get over it.

City of Bones

The Mortal Instruments trilogy, by Cassandra Clare is going to be the next big thing. I haven't even read it yet, but the cover of City of Bones... SEXY! Also, Stephanie Meyer loves it and it was on the New York Times best sellers list. I would have also bought the third book but it was in hard cover, and I'm cheap. However, after I read the first two books, I may be forced to buy it. Oh yeah almost forgot, the series is about a girl who gets herself involved in a group called Shadowhunters who hunt demons, and keep werewolves and vampires in place. Holly Black describes the series as being, " funny, dark, and sexy."

I hope that will last the next two weeks if not I guess I can always reread Harry Potter. I just saw the Half Blood Prince, and I think it was pretty damn good. Alan Rickman is awesome, I can't wait to see him in the next (and last) film.
